WordSearch Unlimited Free is a digital recreation of the classic word-hunting puzzle game.
The object of WordSearch Unlimited Free is, as always, to find the words listed at the bottom of the screen within the jumbled grid of letters. Words can run horizontally, vertically or diagonally, and can go backwards or forwards. Each game is timed and the object is to find all the words in the quickest time possible.
To select a word in WordSearch Unlimited Free you hold your finger on the first letter and drag out the line until the last letter. Due to the small size of the letters, this method can be a bit fiddly and invariably it takes at least two attempts to highlight a word, which gets pretty frustrating. Unlike the Android version of WordSearch Unlimited, this iPhone version has a second control method, whereby you just need to hit the first and last letter of the word. This makes things a bit easier, but not much.
There are a number of options and settings in WordSearch Unlimited Free to customize your games. For instance, you can choose from a range of skins and opt to have word lists based on certain categories, such as animals, food and drink, colors, sports, etc.
WordSearch Unlimited Free only comes with one difficulty level, which is pretty easy. And unlike the full version, this one only gives you English words.
WordSearch Unlimited Free is a good distraction for a plane or a bus journey, but hardcore word puzzle fans may find it a bit too simple.
